A Rebase of your Existing Denture—like a Reline—is done when your denture—a Full (complete) Denture or a Partial Denture—has become loose due to gum shrinkage and bone resorption over time. A Rebase extends the life of your dentures by ensuring they once again fit well and comfortably.
Like a Reline, a Rebase allows your denture to fit in your mouth more securely and comfortably, but the new base means a Rebase is almost like having a brand new denture, except for the teeth themselves.

A Rebase does exactly that: the denturist removes the entire pink acrylic base of the denture (full denture, acrylic partial denture or cast partial denture) and remakes the base (hence, “re-base”) based on the impressions of your mouth on that first appointment, so that it fits excellently again like brand new the next day:
