The Grantham Denture Clinic, so named because it is in the Grantham Shopping Plaza in St. Catharines, Ontario, is also known as the Tim Schankula Denture Clinic, as your denturist (and proprietor) is Tim Schankula, DD. It is a long-time family owned and operated business. The Grantham Denture Clinic was opened in 1974 by Joe Schankula, DD, who was later joined by his son Tim, first as a lab assistant and then as a partnering denturist. Joe retired in 1996, and Tim took over as your sole denturist. However, even at the age of 91, Joe is in good health and still comes into the office every Thursday to clean up the lab, tools and equipment to prepare the Clinic for the next week (and to make sure Tim is doing a good job–which he always seems to be!).
The Grantham Denture Clinic is a full service denture clinic providing all denture-related services. Your denturist, Tim Schankula, with decades of experience, initial and ongoing education & training and using our fully equipped lab on-site, is fully qualified to offer you solutions to all your denture needs, from Adjustments, Repairs, Soft Liners, Add-Ons and Relines & Rebases, to the fabrication of New Dentures—Full Dentures and Partial Dentures (the latter with either a Cast Metal Framework or fully Acrylic). New Dentures can be Regular Dentures, Immediate Dentures or Implant Retained Dentures (the latter if you have, or are going to get, Implants). Please note that Appointments are necessary for any type of major denture work, Consultations (free) or Adjustments (adjustments are for when your denture is causing you some discomfort). However, minor Repairs do not require appointments. If you are not sure, just give us a call.
So it doesn’t matter what your needs are regarding missing natural teeth in your mouth or dentures you already wear, Tim and his staff are here to serve you, and get you back to your happy smile again, and eating with comfort.
In January 2022, Tim’s brother, Gary Schankula, a retired computer programmer and analyst, decided to begin helping his brother in both the front office and as his lab assistant. The post-pandemic rush was beginning as people began venturing out again to address some important matters neglected for the last 2 years of lockdowns.
Gary also took this opportunity to finally re-do the Denture Clinic’s website—something he wanted to accomplish once he “retired” from his programming career. Or he thought he was retiring!

From the moment you walk through our door, you will be treated with respect, and receive a warm and friendly greeting from our reception. If you are a New Patient and all your initial paperwork has been completed, or if you are a Returning Patient, you’ll be invited to take a seat in our waiting room to wait for your denturist to call you into the operatory for your procedure, whatever it is—from a simple Adjustment to your dentures to making a New Denture for you, and everything in between. We always try to schedule our patients so that your wait is as brief as possible.
